Course description

This course will aim to support Teaching Assistants in their role of facilitating learning. It will examine evidence of good practice, identify strategies that improve interactions with pupils and as a result improve pupil outcomes. There will be time for personal reflection and support will be given for professional development.

Teaching assistants (TAs) undertake a fundamental role in education. They help students access the curriculum, facilitate learning, promote inclusion and generally carry out a variety of critical functions that support teachers.
