Course description

The Problem Solving course is an interactive, hands-on session which allows delegates to work on their own work problems.  This short course will help you to frame business issues, enabling you to plan projects, meet needs and make business improvements.

Areas covered within the course include:

European Union Social Fund in Partnership with the Department for work and pensions

Learning outcomes

Delegates will use a variety of tools to identify and define various types of problem.

Delegates follow a systematic problem-solving process to work through real work problems and arrive at creative solutions.

Entry requirements

Nil.  This course should help Operational Managers, Team Leaders and Project Managers, particularly in SMEs.

As Programme Leader of the BA (Hons) Business Studies programme, Dr Olivia Ramsbottom is responsible for the recruitment and success and progression of students.  She is co-Programme Leader for the MSc Level 7 Apprenticeship Senior Leaders programme and a Senior Lecturer, with teaching responsibilities across Derby Business School.
