Searching the internet

Using Google Scholar

Google Scholar is a version of the Google search engine that just searches for academic material. You can set preferences in Google Scholar so you can link to the full text for the journals we subscribe to. You will not be able to access the full text of everything you may find through Google Scholar.

If you have any problems, then check the Help and Support section or ask at the Enquiry or Subject Information Desk in any of our libraries, or Contact us

Virtual Training Suite

A set of free internet tutorials are available to help you develop your research skills.

Websites for your subject

To help you use the internet, your Librarians and Lecturers have identified appropriate websites for your subject.

On the library web pages you will find a link to Finding Subject Information. Click on your appropriate subject. Then click on the Useful Websites tab for direct access to relevant websites (eg organisations, associations and government departments).
