Senior Lecturer in Criminology

Dr David Patton is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology and has been lecturing since 1998. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering

Marzena is a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. She completed her PhD in 2019 in Mechanical Engineering. 

Senior Lecturer in English Language

Dr Cara Penry Williams a Lecturer in English Language. As well as teaching undergraduate students, Cara researches topics in sociolinguistics and discourse analysis. I am available for PhD supervision on topics related to my expertise.

Dominic Petronzi is a Lecturer in Psychology (online) at the University of Derby with a keen interest in social psychology, the psychology of education, and development. Dominic teaches modules in each of these areas and also has a range of practical experience of supporting primary and secondary students in school and residential settings, with a focus on supporting SEND.

As a lecturer in Geosciences, I teach on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the School of Environmental Sciences. I also undertake research across the fields of Geology, Geophysics and Geodynamics, with a particular focus on Plate Tectonic theory.

Professor in Physical Activity and Health Intervention

Andy is an Associate Professor of Physical Activity and Health. He undertakes teaching, research and PhD supervision in the area of impact and implementation of physical activity interventions for health improvement. Andy is Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health and a NICE Guidelines Implementation Expert. He was involved in the 2019 Chief Medical Officers' PA Guidelines. 

Professional Psychological Practice Programme Manager (Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology Practice)

Rachael is the Professional Psychological Practice Programme Manager (PG Dip in Forensic Psychology Practice) and module leader on the MSc in Forensic Psychology. Rachael has a Doctor of Psychology degree and is an experienced Forensic Psychologist. Her primary professional/academic interests are in understanding stalking as a problem behaviour and a crime.
