East Midlands Doctoral Network (EMDoc) conference 2017
The University of Derby is part of the East Midlands Doctoral Network (EMDoc), which consists of nine universities within the East Midlands region. Together we are united in our missions to share best practice, resources and insights into postgraduate research, as well as providing opportunities for collaboration and networking amongst the organisations’ students. Every year EMDoc provides the opportunity for current students from all organisations to participate and attend an EMDoc conference.
All PGR students currently registered on a doctoral programme are invited to participate. The call for abstracts is now open for the 2017 East Midlands Doctoral Network (EMDoc) Postgraduate Research Conference that will take place on Wednesday 13 September 2017 at the University of Nottingham.
The EMDoc PGR Conference is a great opportunity to promote your research, and to meet and network with other PGR students from around the East Midlands. The conference aims to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue among postgraduate students from a range of disciplines.
The theme for the 2017 conference is Global Perspectives – how your research impacts global challenges or inspires a better future. This could be by developing a potential solution to a specific problem, discovering a new way of working, opening up a new way of thinking about a subject, or inspiring others to make a change in the world.
Oral and poster presentations are encouraged from a range of disciplines and approaches, but do remember to submit your presentation abstract or poster overview by Monday 19 June at thefollowing link http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/graduateschool/events/emdoc-abstract-submission.aspx
Full details on how to enter can be found in the EMDoc Abstract Submissiom Guidance document 2017
