Career development: Equality and diversity

Effective career development can promote equality of opportunity and encourage social mobility.

Careers work has a role to play in building fair and just societies and economies where everyone has an opportunity to fulfil their potential.  The contribution of careers work has been recognised in a range of influential national reports such as the Women and Work Commission, Alan Milburn’s Unleashing Aspirations: Fair Access to the Professions.
