HE Career Guidance and Digital Solutions in the Post-Pandemic World

Date and time
Thursday, 15 July 2021
15.30 - 17.00

On-line - Blackboard Collaborate

This session will report on a project which has investigated how career professionals at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have been using digital tools to respond to the career guidance needs of their students in the context of the Covid-19 crisis. The last 12 months has seen a massive increase in the use of digital technology across the HE sector, and careers services have been no exception. This has created an ideal context to explore the place of digital technology in HE careers work post-pandemic.

Tom Staunton of iCeGS will use this session to present findings from a series of detailed interviews he has conducted over the last 12 months. This will be used to present findings about the potential place of digital technology post-pandemic. Through the session, we will get to explore both positive aspects of digital technology as well as critical questions for the sector to consider.

The session was open to the public and completely free to attend.
