University Professorial Council

What we do

The University Professorial Council (UPC) works with our academic colleges to enhance the quality of research at the University of Derby - our output, impact and environment.

We support staff, especially early-career researchers, in the development of their research experience and profiles, and we ensure students are partners in research at the University.

We explore the grand challenges facing us all on the global, national and regional stage to identify research opportunities. We oversee interdisciplinary research and funding bids.
