Professor Haywantee Ramkissoon’s role involves mentoring colleagues in producing and disseminating high-quality research to benefit individuals and society. Her scholarship in sustainable tourism and place attachment research have attained particular distinction and influence. She has been honoured with prestigious international awards for research excellence.

Programme Leader - BA (Hons) Business Studies and Senior Lecturer: Business and Management

As Programme Leader of the BA (Hons) Business Studies programme, Dr Olivia Ramsbottom is responsible for the recruitment and success and progression of students.  She is co-Programme Leader for the MSc Level 7 Apprenticeship Senior Leaders programme and a Senior Lecturer, with teaching responsibilities across Derby Business School.

Head of Discipline Environmental Sciences

Andrew is an ecologist and conservation biologist and teach these specialisms at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is a Programme Leader for Zoology and supervises a range of PhD students. Andrew is also the research lead for 'Eco-sustainability and evolution' in the University of Derby's 'Environmental Sustainability Research Centre'.

Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy

Lecturer in Health and Social Care, Christine Rhodes, began her career as a classroom teacher, and eventually became a behaviour support specialist, working with students whose behaviour restricted access to a successful education.

As a coral reef researcher, Till is working in international collaborations to increase our knowledge on coral reef resilience to support these sensitive ecosystems in the face of climate change. He is engaged in our Aquatic Research Facility that provides an outstanding opportunity to combe research and teaching activities at the University of Derby.

Dr Clare Roscoe is a senior lecturer in physical activity and health. She is actively involved in research around the area of physical activity and fundamental movement skills in preschool and primary school aged children.
