Lecturer in Economics

Ghulam is a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Derby with experience in economic growth modelling and labour economics, predominantly working with secondary data. He has extensive teaching experience, gained from teaching a range of subjects in Economics and Quantitative Skills at Queen Mary University of London, Middlesex University and prestigious universities in Pakistan.

Simon is a Lecturer at the University of Derby. He has earned his PhD from the University of Derby, UK; an Executive MBA from Preston University; and an MBA from American University of Central Asia and is now pursing his PhD with focus on Circular Economy. As a growing researcher, he has published in scientific journals, international conferences and a book chapter.

Dr Ian Neal is module leader for historical and theoretical modules on various design disciplines at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His work encourages art and design students consider historical, theoretical and intellectual inquiry around their disciplines which is meaningful, purposeful and enlightening.

Professor of Global Political Economy and Head of the Centre for Social, Cultural and Legal Research

I am Director of the Social, Cultural and Legal Research Centre. I am responsible for REF Unit 20 (Social Policy and Social Work) and I have a number of University-wide roles, such as being a member of the central REF steering group and an elected member of the University Professorial Council.
