Kathleen McIIvenna
Lecturer in History

Kathleen is a Lecturer in History and teaches across the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Specialising in nineteenth-century British history and with experience of working in the museums sector, Kathleen is module leader on a number of modules for the MA in Public History and Heritage. Her research focuses on the Victorian Post Office, occupational pensions and occupational health.

Keith McLay
Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Education

Professor Keith McLay is Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Education, comprising the School of Arts, the School of Humanities and Journalism and the Institute of Education. He provides executive leadership for the College while, as an early modern military and naval historian, he continues to research and write, and he teaches on some History modules.

Daithí is senior lecturer in media, teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

An applied economist passionate about teaching, enthusiastic about research and keen on professional engagement. His role within the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences spans the full range of academic activities from teaching at all levels, to leading programmes, to keynote speaking and business consultancy and to applied research.

Eleni is an Associate Professor in Business Management at the University of Derby, Buxton. Eleni teaches on subjects relating to the management and marketing of Tourism, Hospitality, Events and Spa industries.

Professor Kathryn Mitchell is the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Derby. Her academic background is in Psychology and she continues to play an active role in research.

Dr Jane Montague
Head of Psychology

I am Head of Psychology within the School of Human Sciences. My teaching and research interests are based within critical approaches to social psychology, particularly in relation to gender, identity and the use of qualitative methods. I currently teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervise a number of PhD students.

Senior Lecturer in Career Development

Nicki Moore is a Senior Lecturer in Career Development. Nicki is the Programme Leader for the MA Careers Education and Coaching and leads a number of small accredited and non-accredited programmes in career development and professional practice.
