Charlotte Hargreaves is a former criminal justice practitioner and experienced researcher. She is currently Head of Criminology and Social Sciences with responsibility for Criminology, Criminal Psychology, Sociology, International Relations and Politics.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Derby, with interests in European history c. 1500-1918 and research expertise in the history of Britain during the long 18th century (c. 1650-1850). My role is primarily research based but I also teach across several modules in History and Publishing.

Dr Phil Henry is Programme Leader for the MSc Intelligence, Security and Disaster Management and the Postgraduate Certificate in Understanding Radicalisation. Phil also works on the BA (Hons) Sociology and MSc Criminology and Criminal Justice programmes. Phil is engaged in social science research into disaster management and national security settings.

Alistair Hodge

After many years as a business leader in the creative and cultural industries, Alistair Hodge is now Head of the School of Humanities and Journalism. His MA (Hons) is in Modern History from St Andrews University, Scotland, and he studied toward a PhD, in seventeenth-century history, at Lancaster University.
