Professor of Operations Management and Head of the Centre for Supply Chain Improvement

Jose Arturo Garza-Reyes is Professor of Operations Management and Head of the Centre for Supply Chain Improvement at the University of Derby. He is actively involved in industrial projects, combining his knowledge, expertise and industrial experience in operations management to help organisations achieve excellence in their internal functions and supply chains.

Sayantan Ghosh Dastidar
Lecturer in Economics

Dr Ghosh Dastidar joined the University of Derby as a Lecturer in Economics in January 2016. Before joining here, he was working as a Research Assistant at the University of Huddersfield. Currently, he is the Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Economics for Business and the Subject Leader for Joint Honours Economics.

Lecturer in History

Dr Oliver Godsmark is a Lecturer in History with interests in colonialism, South Asia and India’s partition. His research focuses on citizenship, democracy, caste/tribe, and land/property/territory. Experienced in public-facing history, he teaches across the undergraduate History programme, and on the Integrated Masters in History and MA in Public History and Heritage.

Professor Gyan Tripathi is the Head of the Human science Research Centre. He graduated with MSc in Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India (1993) and completed his PhD in Biotechnology.

Jill works as a researcher in the International Centre for Guidance Studies. Her role includes designing and managing research projects primarily in the area of widening participation and SEND but also more widely in the domain of careers education, information, advice and guidance at various stages of education.
