Health and Well-Being Research Group

This group is co-ordinated by Amy Cantwell. Broadly speaking the research conducted by members of this group concerns the application of psychological theory to physical health and its associated impact on dysfunction, with a particular emphasis on quality of life and well-being.

The group functions around a number of themes including the impact and management of long term conditions (Amy Cantwell), addiction (Dr Claire Hampson), pain and painkiller use (Professor James Elander), dietary behaviour and obesity (Dr Vicki Staples) and health and development across the lifespan (Dr Christopher Barnes).

We also have strong links with the Nature Connectedness and Psychology of Mental Health research groups.
