Malawi Institute of Management (Lilongwe, Malawi)

Malawi Institute of Management (MIM) forms an ideal base for the MSc Strategic Management programme and the Master in Business Administration in Southern Africa.

The aim of the programmes is to provide skills in a local and international context. MIM recognised early on that the programme would provide people from Malawi with the strategic skills needed to match the requirements of the new economic environment.

The Malawi Institute of Management was formed to address the need for the development of strategic skills and the training of senior and middle management to obtain the knowledge, concepts and skills to help Malawi develop. The institute was funded from 1989 to 1995 by the Malawi government, the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank. The institute  became self-financing by the year 2000.

MIM's mission is to be the centre of excellence of high quality management training, consulting and research services delivered efficiently and effectively to all sectors of the Malawi economy and the region.
