The University of Derby welcomed more than 7,500 Year 12 students this week (April, 20-21) to help them make one of the biggest decisions of their lives so far.
The University hosted the East Midlands UCAS Exhibition, which was attended by students and teachers from over 71 schools and colleges, plus 161 exhibitors from Higher Education Institutions across the UK as well as the Army, the Royal Air Force and Rolls Royce.
The exhibition was held in the University’s new £10.8 million Sports Centre, which boasts a 70 station fitness suite, an eight badminton court sports hall, spacious fitness and cycling studios, climbing wall, squash courts plus a three-lane indoor sprint track.
Hannah Wright, Outreach Manager at the University of Derby, said: “It’s been a privilege to meet so many enthusiastic students over the past two days. We have seen so many students arrive excited to find out more information about their future.
“UCAS Exhibitions enable students who are interested in higher education to get a better understanding in order to make one of the biggest decisions of their lives.”
The next University of Derby Open Day takes place at our Derby and Buxton campuses on Saturday, June 4.
