Unit 1: Collaborative living and working
This unit will explore how the Web supports collaborative learning and finding new things through crowdsourcing. We will explore what we can contribute to others’ learning.
Unit 2: New meanings of the idea of a class
Class is no longer a room or a set place only, we will discover what meaning does a classroom hold through this new on-line crowd learning, as well as reflect on the positive and negative effects of this new approach to learning
Unit 3: Encouraging diverse thinking and pro-active learning
Building on contributing and receiving ideas from each other on-line, we will look at the use of personal learning space and learning as a narrative of a unique learning journey, re-presenting common knowledge as personal understanding, adopting, and adapting ideas.
Unit 4: Life management and online communities
We will move away from formal learning to find the value of, and how we become part of an online community. We will also learn how technology is used effectively in the management of our private and public life.
Unit 5: Maturity in managing technology
We will move on to look at how we might control the demands made on us in using the Web and keeping it fun rather than onerous.
Unit 6: Fostering a positive digital reputation
We will finish by looking at our Digital Identity or footprint on the Web and most importantly you will begin to create a positive digital reputation.
