our online Integrative Health and Social Care BSc (Hons) Top-Up course introduction video transcript

Hello, my name is Dr Pauline Green and I am the Academic Lead for the BSc (Hons) Integrative Health and Social Care (Top-Up) programme at the University of Derby Online Learning.

By studying the BSc (Hons) Integrative Health and Social Care you will have the opportunity to share your work experience with learners from a wide range of backgrounds in health and social care. You will develop knowledge in core subject areas relating to integrative practice, research and choose from optional modules in specialist subject areas such as palliative care, dementia care, public health and safeguarding children and adults. You will also improve your practice and further your career into management or specialist roles or continue your studies to postgraduate certificate, diploma or masters level.

One of the main benefits of studying online is being able to work whilst you study. This means that you are able to progress in your practice area and not have to take a career break. You may also have other commitments such as caring for children which makes it difficult to study on campus.

Online Learning is flexible, so you can study at a time and a place that suits you. The online learning materials are easily accessible and always available, so you can revisit them as many times as you like. You will receive excellent support from academics who tutor you throughout the modules, with additional support from an Online Learner Advisor and services such as the Study Advisor Scheme, library, careers and student wellbeing.

Most importantly everybody wants you to do well and to be successful in your studies. We really look forward to seeing you graduate.

Good luck with your studies.
