our online Health and Social Care Studies Certificate of Credit course introduction video transcript

Hello, my name is Dr Pauline Green and I am the Academic Lead for the Certificate Of Credit in Health and Social Care Studies at the University of Derby Online Learning.

By studying the Certificate Of Credit in Health and Social Care Studies you will have the opportunity to share your work experience with learners from a wide range of backgrounds in health and social care. You will develop knowledge in relation to professional development in health and social care and you will improve your practice skills and progress your study to our BSc Nursing studies (top-up) or the BSc Integrative Health and Social Care (top-up) Degrees.

One of the main benefits of studying online is being able to work whilst you study. This means that you are able to continue to progress in your practice area and not have to take a career break. You may also have other commitments such as caring for children which makes it difficult to study on campus.

Online learning is flexible, so you can study at a time and place that suits you. The online learning materials are easily accessible and always available, so you can revisit them as many times as you like. You will receive excellent support from academics who tutor you throughout the modules, with additional support from an Online Learner Advisor and services such as the Study Advisor Scheme, library, careers and student wellbeing.

Most importantly everybody wants you to do well and to be successful in your studies. We really look forward to seeing you graduate. If you would like further information about the programme please go to the university website derby.ac.uk/online.

Good luck with your studies.
