Through the combination of the MSc Professional Engineering and worked based learning you can achieve the academic qualifications and professional development required to apply for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
In addition to the MSc, you must have relevant work experience to apply for Chartership. This varies depending on your engineering institute but is generally 3-5 years' experience at a senior/principle engineer level with responsibility during this time for a range of projects and areas. Please contact your engineering institute for further information about requirements and fees.
Becoming a Chartered Engineer provides international recognition of your expertise to further advance your career and employability. It may increase your earning potential and provide you with greater influence within your organisation and industry.
