Dementia is a global issue that affects millions of people across the world and with an aging population, dementia is fast becoming one of the biggest health challenges of the 21st century. 

This Postgraduate Certificate in Partnerships in Dementia Care is aimed at a wide range of health and social care professionals working in and around dementia. Whether you are enhancing your career or have a general interest in this area of study, this course is ideal for developing the knowledge you need to make a real difference to people’s lives.

This course will help you to expand and advance your understanding of dementia care, while teaching you how to apply these skills to your own health and social care setting. This course will also enable you to assess and support the impact your actions will have on the future of integrative practice, developing an advanced professional approach to integrative care for people living with dementia.

You will study three modules over the duration of one year, studying one module per trimester. In studying this Postgraduate Certificate, you will gain an advanced understanding of the multidisciplinary perspectives in dementia care, developing a framework to form effective high quality care that is in line with local, national and international policies. 

You will gain a qualification in dementia care that allows you to offer employers a specific and unique skillset for use within a practice setting as well as the ability to imbed your skills and knowledge to help meet the needs of those living with dementia.

This Postgraduate Certificate is available to study part-time and is delivered fully online. You will study three modules whilst addressing the core aspects of Dementia Care:

  • Advanced Integrative Practice
  • Social Consequences of Dementia Care
  • Partnerships in Dementia Care
