As one of the first MSc Sustainability and Environmental Management programmes to be accredited in line with the new IEMA graduate standards, this programme covers highly topical and current issues faced by the sector, including the need for professionals capable of building future fit sustainable organisations. The programme is relevant to intending and existing professionals from various sectors including construction, agriculture, energy, banking and finance, etc. Individuals looking to develop a career in environmental and sustainability consultancy will also benefit from the programme.
In line with the emergence of the Sustainability agenda, sustainability is a key theme of the programme, allowing students to be better prepared to meet organisational requirements and ambitions for sustainability. This Masters level programme looks at these globally important issues from a strategic perspective whilst incorporating a practical approach. Combining practical aspects with strategic elements, the programme is designed for those seeking to follow a career in sustainability and environmental management or those working in the profession but seeking to develop at a strategic / leadership level.
This is a flexible programme which enables you to choose from highly relevant optional modules to tailor your programme of study to meet your particular interests or professional needs; in areas such as global resource management, ecology and conservation, environmental impact assessment or pollution assessment and remediation.
Depending on your personal requirements, the exit awards at postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma allow you to undertake part of the level 7 masters programme and achieve a recognised University qualification without having to complete the full MSc.
Due to be accredited by IEMA in line with their new graduate standards, this programme will be recognised by industry equipping you with a highly relevant level 7, internationally recognised qualification, skills and knowledge pertinent to the demands of the sector. Free IEMA student membership and eligibility to join the Institute of Environment Management as a Graduate (GradIEMA) or Practitioner (PIEMA) member status will enhance your employability and put you on track to meet your professional goals and ambitions.
