Hello, my name is Yasu Kotera. I’m the academic lead for BSc Top-Up Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Approaches at University of Derby Online Learning.

This programme is great for you to learn mental health skills and knowledge and also CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). To enrol on to this programme you need to have 240 credits at level 4 and 5 in health and social care field and also you need to be in practice.

CBT is one the most well-researched psychological interventions and we also have contemporary issues in CBT such as compassion-focused therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. You’ll also learn research skills and evidence-based practice.

The flexibility of this programme allows you to learn at your own pace. So we have students who have busy full time jobs, coming home and after dinner they study a couple of hours and also they study longer on weekends.
