Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my own picnic?
There will be various food and drink outlets you can purchase food from but you’re welcome to bring a picnic if you’d prefer. Please just tidy all your rubbish away afterwards.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome as long as they’re well behaved, are kept on a lead and stay outside. Please be responsible for cleaning up after your dog.
Are there any age restrictions on the activities?
Most activities are suitable for children from the age of 3 but there is plenty to keep really little ones entertained, including soft play, animals and a bouncy caste. The climbing wall is only suitable for children aged 7 and above and there’s an age limit of ‘Under 5s’ on the smaller bouncy castle.
What happens if it rains?
We’re hoping for sun but if it does rain it’s not going to dampen the fun. There are lots of activities taking place indoor that you can enjoy.
Is everything free?
Entry to the Fun Day and all the activities are free. There is a small charge for the face painting and the food and drinks outlets will charge too.
Is there parking?
We have some big car parks which should be able to accommodate most of the visitors to the Fun Day. Parking is free on site. If the car parks are full there is on street parking on Broadway, which is just a short walk from the University.
What happens if I lose my child?
The event is going to be very busy so please keep an eye on your children at all times. Please report a lost child (or lost item of property) to staff at the main reception desk, who will put out an announcement over the tannoy immediatly.
