Marketing 2020

Marketing 2020 Venue University of Derby, Kedleston Road, DE22 1GB

Event date: Monday, 19 March 2018 at 4.30 PM
Running until: Monday, 19 March 2018 at 7.45 PM

As consumers and businesses move into the age of digital sales and digital only stores, it stands to reason that we must adapt and overcome these significant changes to marketing and disruption to business.

This event will consider the way in which marketing information is consumed in 2018 and how that will continue in the future. This will consist of exploring our social media consumption trends, managing our emails, where and when we choose to shop and even how businesses manage their consumers, in an online and often public environment.

How we shop and communicate with brands has changed drastically in the last decade. Online chain stores have become more prominent and we find ourselves in a post dot-com era where IP still has considerable value demonstrated by the closing of less financially sound shops and businesses, placing a higher emphasis on the online market.

This online market doesn’t strictly work in the way that we would think, whether as a consumer or an employee creating marketing campaigns. Some shoppers prefer to showroom (view physical copies of goods then purchase online) and others webroom (view online goods and then purchase physical copies in store) and some do both!

These are all factors that Marketing 2020 will explore and flesh out, with you the audience, to provoke thought and information to assist or intrigue.

We look forward to seeing you there. Please book on via the form below.
