Venue University of Derby, Kedleston Road, DE22 1GB

Event date: Thursday, 12 July 2018 at 6.00 PM
Running until: Thursday, 12 July 2018 at 8.00 PM

This is an opportunity to learn some technique based on coaching principles and then try them out on the evening with some common student support focused scenarios. On the evening experienced facilitators will talk about:
• Role of a coaching approach to develop students in a supportive capacity in clinical practice
• Drama triangles in action ! and how to avoid them
• Unconditional positive regard and why this is important when working with students

Who is this evening aimed at? Any radiographer or sonographer working with students on a regular basis should find this useful; it doesn’t matter how long you have been qualified or whether you are a trained clinical supervisor or not.

This may be useful for you as a CPD opportunity, as a networking event and as an opportunity to enhance your existing skills in working to support student development.
