Politics - So What?

Join us for an evening of provocative thought about the constitution and politics in modern day Britain and beyond.

During this inspirational lecture, Kevin Bampton Head of the Department of Law, Criminology and Social Sciences at the University of Derby will share his opinions on the following topics:

  • Can we really trust politicians?
  • Why the majority of the world is not "democratic"
  • Do some politicians encourage war?
  • How corrupt is UK politics?
  • Why politics is not really about politicians at all

Kevin Bampton has worked internationally on areas of good government and economic reform and covered local election outcomes for the BBC over the last decade. His detailed knowledge of politics will provide a thought provoking evening and help you to understand modern day politics.
