About the exhibition:

This exhibition is curated from artists in and associated with the College of Arts, at the University of Derby, who has works linked to the themes of nature, landscape and the natural properties of the environment.

Our research in creative ecologies looks at the intersections of the arts with culture, health and wellbeing and the environment. The aim is to produce work that is interdisciplinary and that critically addresses the changes in nature produced by human beings, and the damages caused to the world and our environments. The use of art and culture as research tools for explanation, explication and uncovering allows our teams of cultural practitioners which include filmmakers, photographers and photojournalists, designers, writers, and performers across a range of genres, to critically negotiate and address sustainability for creative practice, creative and cultural industries and to influence politics and policy, social and economic benefit for humans and the natural world’s health.

Embedded in the College of Arts this encourages projects which have a diverse range of research outcomes and dialogue’s with society and communities.
