Marketing 2020 explores The Dark Side of Digital

As digital marketing and social media have evolved, the dark side of digital has appeared. Many of us have received emails from unknown Princes in faraway lands requesting bank details, in exchange for untold wealth. Celebrities have been scammed where a friend is stuck in a remote location desperately needing cash, or the boss has sent an email requiring urgent bank transfer for a new supplier. Sounds familiar?

Many companies are still struggling to understand digital and especially social media, where epic fails have taken place and money wasted.

This year Marketing 2020 explores 'The Dark Side of Digital.' From dark deeds occurring in the press to how the legal eagles resolve the issues, the University of Derby invite you to explore the underbelly of digital marketing's dark side.

Attend this event and discover:

  • How to avoid fails on social media
  • How to stay on the right side of the law, whether a small or big business
  • How to ensure your business is protected from the 'dark side'
  • Plus there is an opportunity to network with local businesses, agencies, lawyers and digital experts
