About the Event

Paul Cummins MBE, artist and University of Derby graduate, will be talking to Professor John Coyne CBE. Paul’s artistic work includes the creation of the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red at the Tower of London in 2014 with designer Tom Piper. Paul will discuss the research and process behind his creative works, as well as his career to date, inspiring the next generation of designers and makers.

Entry is FREE but places are limited and need to be booked.

Paul is an inspirational ceramic artist whose reputation has grown exponentially over the last few years, with a number of high-profile commissions both regionally and, more recently, nationally and internationally.

Over the last three years Paul has been commissioned to create large-scale installations for the Duke of Devonshire’s Chatsworth House, Derby Royal Hospital, Althorp Estate, Blenheim Palace , the Conran Shop, and most recently the internationally acclaimed ‘Seas of Red’ installation at the Tower of London to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Great War.
