The event will include a discussion and demonstration about the effects of liver cirrhosis on the body. 


Gerri Mortimore is a qualified nurse with 35 years’ experience and has published widely. She latterly practised as an Advanced Practitioner in the field of liver disease. She was given the title, by the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE), of NICE expert for contributions to guidelines for England and Wales in the following areas:

-          Alcohol use disorders

-          Gallstones

-          Cirrhosis

Gerri also assisted with quality standards on gallstones and cirrhosis.
