Drawing on his experience as Chair of the Special Education Consortium, Brian Lamb looks at how the development and implementation of the SEND reforms influence policy change in Education.

Exploring the main influences of Government decision making, our Visiting Professor of Special Educational Needs and Disability will explain how the balance between evidence based policy making in SEND and political laws has evolved SEND legislation and practice over the years.

The event concludes the launch day for our new Institute of Education research centre, which begins earlier in the afternoon.
