About the talk:

The Duke of Devonshire will present an illustrated talk on the gardens and landscape of Chatsworth in Derbyshire with reference to the change of appearance, management and features in the garden and landscape from the 1st Duke to present day.  

The influence of Lancelot Brown on the extensive Park and Joseph Paxton’s contribution to the built environment and features both at Chatsworth and Lismore will be explored as well as the collecting habits of the generations of the Duke’s family who have contributed to the wealth of outdoor sculpture and art that enrich the gardens and landscape.
