Join University of Derby honorary Richard Gerver as he talks about his career and latest book; Simple Thinking: How to remove complexity from life and work.


Richard recently provided consultation to the Hilary Clinton 2016 Presidential campaign team and is a highly acclaimed international speaker. Richard has also worked with a number of globally recognised brands including Microsoft, Google, and Harrods. He is currently working in the music industry with Universal and Decca.


He argues great leadership is about serving the needs of the people who work for you. The three core principles that underpin Richard’s philosophy are; communication, empowerment and impact. Richard is also an alumnus of the University of Derby, where he studied to be a teacher which led him to becoming a head teacher and is recognised nationally for his innovative approach to teaching and learning.


Following his talk Richard will be signing his book Simple Thinking: How to remove complexity from life and work which will be available to buy before and after the event from Blackwell’s, the University’s onsite book shop.
