Useful information for international applicants

We regret that, due to unprecedented demand, our on-campus courses starting in September 2022 and January 2023 are now closed to new international applicants. If you have been affected by this, you will have received a communication from us. I have not yet submitted my application. Is there still time to be accepted for a course starting in January 2023?

Unfortunately, courses starting in January 2023 are now closed to new applications from international applicants. Please look out for further information on our website about applications for September 2023.

I am applying for a course starting in January 2023, but have not yet received an offer. Will I be able to continue with my application for a future intake?

We regret that our courses are now closed to international applicants. We hope you will be interested in continuing with your application for September 2023. If you have any questions, please let us know by emailing askadmissions@derby.ac.uk.

I have been notified that my offer has been deferred to January 2023, but I no longer wish to continue with my application. How do I withdraw?

We are sorry that you would like to withdraw your offer. Please complete our application decision form to submit your withdrawal.

I have been offered a deferral but I prefer to withdraw. How do I apply for a refund of my deposit?

If you have told us you wish to withdraw, and have paid a deposit, we will be in touch to request the documentation required. Please note that funds will be returned by the same method and to the same bank account as the original payment.

I have accepted the offer to defer my place until January 2023. Will I need to submit a new application?

No, you will not need to submit a new application. All the information you have sent us so far will be automatically transferred to January 2023 applications.

I have decided to defer my offer until January 2023. Will the fees remain the same?

The fees will not be changing for January deferrals.

I am deferring to January 2023 and I have paid my deposit. Will my deposit apply to January?

Yes, your deposit will be automatically applied to your January start.

My place is deferred to January 2023. What are the next steps?
