General entry requirements

India

  • Students with a minimum average of 65% in Standard XII/ Intermediate Examination/Higher Secondary Examination can usually be considered for direct entrance to bachelors courses
  • Diplomas with a minimum score of 60% will be considered on a case-by-case basis for advance standing onto first year bachelors courses. Students can be accepted onto the final year of bachelors degrees at the programme leader’s discretion

Nigeria

  • Passing grade: WAEC* / Ordinary National Diploma with Pass
  • Good performance: WAEC* / Ordinary National Diploma with Second Class Upper Division
  • Excellent performance: WAEC* / Ordinary National Diploma with First Division

*WAEC only gains entry to a foundation year. National Diploma or Ordinary National Diploma with a GPA of 2.5 would gain entry to bachelor level.

Bahrain

  • Associate Degree or Diploma with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a C grade.
  • IELTS for UKVI Academic with Overall Band Score 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four components.
  • Students with the Thanawaya can do Foundation.

United Arab Emirates

  • University Diploma with a minimum score of B- or 2.67/4.00.
  • IELTS for UKVI Academic with Overall Band Score 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four components.
  • Students who have the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination can do Foundation.

  • IELTS for UKVI at the required score for your chosen course, as indicated on the course page. The IELTS test report form should bear a valid UKVI number and the test must be no older than two years old.

  • Bachelors degrees from institutions recognised by NARIC or government recognised institutions
  • Requirements will vary depending on recognition of institution and scoring system used. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • A score of 60% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; a score of 50% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2 plus work experience

Nigeria

  • Pass Grade, Second Class Lower (2:2), Second Class Upper (2:1), First Class: Same entry requirements as UK - please check on your relevant course page

Bahrain

We require a ال ب كال وری وس bachelor degree from a NARIC or government recognised institution, a typical offer would be:

  • a score of 2.7-3.3/4.0 is equivalent to a UK 2:1 and a score of 2.0-2.6/4.0 is equivalent to a UK 2:2. 

United Arab Emirates

ب كال وری وس – Bachelor degree
Bachelor degrees from NARIC or government recognised institutions can normally be accepted for master’s studies

  • a score of 3.30-4.00/4.00 is equivalent to a UK 2:1 and a score of 2.67/3.33/4.00 is equivalent to a UK 2:2/
