Entry requirements

To enrol on the BSc (Hons) International Nursing (Top-up) degree, you will require an IELTS of 6.5 in all elements. On completion of your degree, you will require IELTS 7.0 in all elements before being able to apply to the NMC registration process for overseas nurses.

Not at IELTS 6.5 level?

Funded by the scholarship University of Derby will provide English language development and assessment programmes. The programmes available are a pre-sessional up to eight week intensive to increase student’s IELTs from 6.0 to 6.5, before commencing study, and a 12 week part-time to increase students* IELTS from 6.5 to level 7.0 in all elements, alongside study**

 

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have a degree or diploma from one of the University of Derby’s exclusive Philippine partners and have worked full-time as a qualified nurse for a minimum of 12 months (pro-rata for part-time). 

*Subject to successful completion of the BSc (Hons) International Nursing (Top-up) degree course and NMC testing process
