Faith and religion

Derby is a truly multicultural city, with people of many different nationalities and religions living here

There’s a Multi-Faith Centre on campus with a team of chaplains and faith advisers to support you. They organise talks and discussion groups, Fairtrade lunches, social justice campaigns and days out. And they’re always there if you need someone to talk to – about anything at all.

We have faith advisers representing the following faiths:

  • Sikh
  • Jewish
  • Baha'i
  • Buddhist
  • Hindu
  • Unitarian
  • Muslim.

And our chaplaincy team represent these denominations:

  • Anglican
  • Roman Catholic
  • Russian Orthodox
  • Methodist
  • New Church
  • International.
