We’re proud to announce that our Occupational Therapy graduate Kate Towart has received the Staffordshire Learning Links Travel Award in the presence of HRH Princess Ann. Kate, along with fellow award winners, was invited to have a private audience with the Princess Royal.

The prestigious event was held at the College of Occupational Therapy's annual award ceremony in July at London's Drapers Hall and was attended by Therapists from across the UK.

This award was granted to support the dissemination of findings from a paper co-authored and published by Kate and Angela Payne, Senior Lecturer from The University of Derby, on occupation at the end of life.

Kate said she was, “incredibly humbled’ by the opportunity and remains ‘i am eminently grateful for the continued and steadfast guidance she has received from Angela and the hardworking team at the University of Derby”.
