Boost your career prospects with courses accredited by professional bodies and links with Déda, East Midland’s prestigious dance house.
Career-driven course accreditations
Our BA (Hons) Creative Expressive Therapies course is accredited by the National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP), which is reflective of
its high quality. Once you have completed this degree, it might be that you go on to study one of our masters degrees as detailed below,
each with accreditations to enable you to gain professional registration in the career you see yourself in.
Our MA Art Therapy and MA Dramatherapy courses are accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council.
Why is this significant for you? Successfully completing either one of these courses will mean that you are eligible to apply for professional registration of the appropriate status; as an art therapist or dramatherapist. You will also be able to register as full member of the applicable organisation:
- British Association of Art Therapists - the UK’s professional organisation for art therapists.
- British Association of Dramatherapists - the UK’s professional body for dramatherapists.
After having completed the MA Dance Movement Psychotherapy course you will be able to apply for professional registration as a dance movement psychotherapist through the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK (ADMPUK). With the course being accredited by the ADMPUK, you’ll be sure to learn the most up-to-date research in the discipline.
