Highly regarded accreditation
Our BA (Hons) Applied Social Work course is professionally accredited by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Why is this significant for you? Once you have completed the course, this will enable you to apply to the HCPC to register as a qualified social worker.
BA (Hons) Applied Social Work has also been rated as fully meeting the national standards set by the General Social Care Council, the then governing body for social work. We are only one of 14 institutions across the country to fulfil these requirements.
Approval of course innovation
The Youth Work pathway of our BA (Hons) Working with Young People and Communities (Youth Work or Community Development) has been approved by the National Youth Agency at a recent validation event. They have described this course as ‘imaginative’, ‘creative’, ‘inspiring’ and ‘ahead of the field’, so on this course you can learn how to provide a cutting-edge service to young people.
