Prescribing is a positive and welcome addition to professional roles. It supports key health care policies, provides better care for patients and promotes safe, cost effective health care practice. Evidence suggests however, that many of us are not prescribing as expected, even after training. This one day workshop hopes to redress this balance.
Refocusing on tools to assist with prescribing, consultation skills, pharmacology and medicines management, using developed case studies and professional experience as our guide, it aims to build confidence and facilitate discussion. Enhancing prescribing competencies through the completion of a provided workbook; a safe place to practice and the networking opportunities presented.
Topics vary but normally include: pain relief across the lifespan, thrush, atopic eczema
Hours accrued can contribute to both local and professional CPD requirements.
