PG Certificate or Diploma in Advanced Practice

Our PG Certificate or Diploma in Advanced Practice course will provide the initial preparation required to practise as an advanced clinical practitioner.Traditionally accessed by nurses, this course is available to a range of health care professionals.

PG Dip Medical Ultrasound

Our PG Dip Medical Ultrasound has been designed to support qualified healthcare professionals, such as radiographers, nurses and midwives.‌ You will develop your ultrasound skills enabling you to practise independently within your clinical practice. This course is a nationally recognised qualification and is accredited by the Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE) for its flexible and innovative approach.

PG Certificate Osteoporosis and Falls Management

Our PG Cert Osteoporosis and Falls Management course is perfect for you if you are a practitioner working in osteoporosis, falls or fracture management and want to build on your existing level of health and social care. You will be encouraged to critically evaluate your work-based environment and consider a broad range of issues relating to the management of patients. You will study this course through distance learning meaning you can study from your home, allowing you to stimulate the development of your own learning.

PG Certificate Bone Densitometry Reporting

Our PG Cert Bone Densitometry Reporting course will develop the skills you need to work at an advanced practice level, recognising areas for change and improvement that will enhance your practice and improve your understanding of osteoporosis and bone densitometry reporting. You can tailor this course to match your own interests by selecting modules that are relevant to your career. You'll attend a minimum of four study days at the University where you'll hear from keynote speakers, get involved in case study discussions and take part in scan viewing sessions.

PG Certificate Interprofessional Practice Education

Our PG Cert Interprofessional Practice Education is the course for you if you are keen to develop your skills and knowledge in your education practice setting. You will develop your knowledge and gain excellent teaching skills across many contexts from higher education to clinical practic. This course meets the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards to support learning and assessment in practice for both Practice Teacher and Nurse Teacher Status qualifications (NMC 2008). It is also approved by the Higher Education Academy (HEA), meaning that our teaching is up to date, relevant and helps you to gain accreditation as an associate or fellow when you graduate.

Our PG Cert Leadership for Healthcare Improvement has been carefully designed to support advanced practitioner's who are responsible for high level decision making and problem solving tasks. The course has been developed to meet your professional and personal developmental needs, so you can be sure it will be relevant to you and meets the Department of Health Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF) requirements. This course is flexible as many of the modules are available online so you can study at a time and place to suit you.

PG Certificate Management of Long Term Conditions

Our PG Cert Management of Long Term Conditions course involves modules that will prepare you to carry out advanced assessment and to develop your skills in the management of chronic conditions. Specific modules within the award are matched against the Department of Health Case Management Competency Framework

Practice Certificate in Non Medical Prescribing

Our Practice Certificate in Non Medical Prescribing course is innovative, forward thinking and flexible to suit your needs. The Government has recently extended prescribing responsibilities to non-medical professionals within the health care sector. So, we've created this course to prepare professionals, such as pharmacists or nurses, to become independent prescribers.
