Guide to Enrolment Events

Your enrolment checklist

We want you to be as prepared as possible when you come to enrol. Take a look at our checklist to find out what you need to bring with you.

One form of ID - a passport, driving licence, NI card, or debit/credit card are examples of accepted forms of ID
Exam certificates / results
Wage slip or proof of benefits (19+ funded course learners) - if you are aged 19 or over AND doing a funded course, please bring 3 recent wage slips or proof of benefits you may be in receipt of
Residency share codes / documents (for learners born outside of the UK)
Parents and guardians must accompany students under the age of 18 when enrolling.

Please make sure you bring the required documents with you to the enrolment event, we won't be able to fully enrol you without them.

Enrolment is the process that officially makes you a University of Derby - Buxton student.

Welcome and Registration

Check in at the Dome and visit the welcome desk

Advice and Guidance

Talk through your course choices and next steps with our Admissions team

Maths & English and Additional Learning Support

Discuss any Maths, English or additional learning support requirements

Course Tutors

Tutors will check your GCSE results, confirm you've selected the correct study level, and provide key course information

Enrolment

We'll review your details, check everything is accurate and enrol you onto your course

Student ID Card

We'll take your photo and issue your student ID card and lanyard

Student Hub

Complete any outstanding Permission and Contact forms and get help with travel queries if needed

Student Life

Speak to our Student Welfare, Money Advisors or Progress Coaches

Checkout

Once you've completed these stages, your enrolment is complete and we look forward to welcoming you to UoD – Buxton
