At the University of Derby, we place great importance on your views and feedback. Each year, we carry out a range of student surveys to understand more about your experiences whilst studying with us. These national and internal student surveys give you a powerful voice, essential in shaping your academic experience. The surveys:

National Student Survey (NSS)

The NSS runs annually from February and April. Most final-year students will be eligible to take part. Ipsos, an independent research agency, conduct the survey. Ipsos will contact you to complete the survey.

Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) 2023 Logo

Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)

PTES runs annually from February and April. It's aimed at students studying on Postgraduate Taught programmes (e.g. PGCert/PGDip/Masters). PTES is an external survey run by Advance HE. Eligible students will receive a unique link to complete the survey through their Unimail account.

Runs annually from February and April. It's aimed at students studying on Postgraduate Research programmes. PRES is an external survey run by Advance HE. Eligible students will receive a unique link to complete the survey through their Unimail account.
