Our Annual Research Conference will be held on the 21 May 2019, where we will be celebrating the fantastic impact from research at The University of Derby.

Our research has helped to improve the lives of people locally, nationally and internationally.

We have entered a new and exciting time at the University for research. It is a fundamental part of our identity as an academic institution, and the work we do has a real impact.

As a civic University, we are particularly proud of the wider benefits of our research. Our researchers have helped bring about more accurate predictions of climate change, a better quality of life for gynaecological cancer patients, impartial career guidance for young people in schools, some spectacular decorative architecture involving 3D printing techniques, and novel processes to create the perfect joints in metals.

At our Annual Research Conference this year we want to celebrate the impact of our research, and the links we have built with businesses, charities, theatres and galleries, international organisations, health practitioners and organisations, government and the public through research. The event is open to all staff and students across the University, to be held at Kedleston Road.

The Programme will include:

We will finish the day with a drinks reception in the Kedleston Road Atrium.
