Date and time
Wednesday, 10 November 2021
12.00 - 13.30

Find out about the latest developments within the centre, including plans to support businesses and entrepreneurs. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on the services that would be most useful to the local business community.

What is this session about?

The Student Legal Advice Centre at the University of Derby provides members of the public with free legal advice on a range of topics. The centre is run by LLB (Hons) Law students, who are closely supervised by a team of academics from the School of Law.

Join Kay Howells, Student Legal Advice Centre Lead, and Sue Jennings, Head of the School of Law, to hear the centre’s journey from starting out as a new initiative in 2019 to now providing an invaluable service to the local community. Find out how the team’s research into the impact of Covid-19 on employability will be used to shape future provision.

There are also plans to offer legal support to new businesses and those starting out on their entrepreneurial journey. So any suggestions for the type of services you would find useful are very much welcomed. Sign up to help shape the provision of this all-important resource.

How much does it cost?

This session is free to attend, without any cost to your business.
