If you have plans to create a greener, more cost-effective business but don’t know where to start, this masterclass is for you! Learn a simple, step-by-step process and find out about the support that is available to you to help you along the way.

What is this session about?

At our Sustainability Summit in September 2021, 40% of businesses had already agreed a net-zero target, with 34% making a public declaration of their ambition. However, while 17% had created a plan to deliver net zero, 53% had not yet agreed their plan.

The University of Derby has been helping SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) become cleaner and greener for years. So we know growing your business while being kind to the planet isn’t always easy. That’s why we are launching our SME Pathway to Zero Carbon. It’s a step-by-step online guide to reducing carbon emissions, better resource efficiency, sustainable supply chains and the circular economy.

Why should I attend?

By attending this online event, you will be the first to access this important resource. The Pathway offers support, resources and funding opportunities to help ensure your business is ready to grasp the opportunities presented by the rapidly expanding green economy.

In this online masterclass, Dr Fred Paterson, (Associate Professor of Sustainable Business at Derby University, will introduce the Pathway, explain the many valuable resources that are available to businesses and take your questions about the first steps to becoming a zero-carbon business.

How much does it cost?

This session is free to attend, without any cost to your business.
