This event has been cancelled with no further bookings being taken at this time. At this time, the health and wellbeing of our staff, students and visitors must be our primary concern. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope to see you at a future event.

What is the Future of Schools?

What we need if we are to understand the future for schools is debate. There are many people promoting technological or administrative shortcuts to success or making schools responsible for solving every social problem. We need to ask again, and again, the fundamental question “What are schools for?” As a contribution to this much-needed debate, we have invited three headteachers from very different schools to present their visions of education and to invite teachers and students to join in the debate.

For further information please contact the conference organiser,  Programme Leader for Education Studies at the University of Derby.
