Information you'll need to book your tickets

The information below relates to our Buxton Awards Ceremony taking place on Saturday 11 November 2017 at the Dome Buxton - please note the ticket purchasing goes live in September 2017.  You will receive an invitation to notify you of the ticket purchase link you will need.

You can order tickets for you and your guests for the ceremony, graduation lunch and church service by logging into UDo.  Please ensure you read the information below and the terms and conditions prior to placing an order.  When you make a payment for tickets you'll receive an automated confirmation email to confirm your payment has been successful.  

If you are still awaiting confirmation of your final award and want to attend the ceremony you still need to order your tickets now.  In order to attend the ceremony, you'll need to have your result confirmed by 20th October 2017 (that is you can see your full award/classification via UDo).  Should you fail to meet these criteria then any monies you have paid for tickets will be refunded to you AFTER the ceremony has taken place.  The university does strongly suggest that you refrain from making travel/accommodation reservations prior to the confirmation of your award. 

The deadline for ordering and purchasing your tickets is midnight on Thursday 5th October 2017 

Unable to attend the Ceremony?

Please log in to UDo, select 'My Details' and from the drop down box select 'student centre'.  Select the 'Confirm unable to attend' link and ensure your address details are up to date.  We'll post your certificate to you after the ceremony has taken place.

Ticket allocation

Each graduand is allocated two guest tickets and has the opportunity to indicate an interest in additional tickets.  Please note that we rarely have additional tickets available and tickets CANNOT be transferred from one graduand to another.  You must respond to your invitation by 5th October 2017.

A decision regarding the availability of additional tickets will only be made after the deadline date of 5th October has passed.  We are anticipating we will email all those who expressed an interest in additional tickets via email in the week commencing 7 October 2017.   Please note that we are not anticipating having additional ticket availability.  We strongly suggest that you don't book travel and accommodation in the expectation that additional tickets will be available.  We will also update the website with information regarding the availability of additional tickets. 

Parking  

On street parking is available close to the Dome and in town centre car parks. Students or their guests who hold a Blue Badge permit can request a disabled parking space when placing an order for tickets.  This allows car parking within the Devonshire Campus.   The postcode for the Dome is SK17 6RY.

Ticket Delivery

Tickets will be posted to UK addresses before the end of October 2017.

Graduands with an overseas address will be able to collect their tickets from the Dome on the day.

Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable after 5 October 2017.  

If your award is not confirmed by 20 October (i.e. is not available to view via UDo on that date) you will not be able to attend the ceremony.  You'll receive the email notification to inform you of this).  Any ticket purchases made under these circumstances will be refunded, AFTER the ceremonies have taken place, direct to the credit/debit card used to make the purchase.
